Hakka Roundhouse, China

A Hakka Roundhouse in Fujian Province.
We were fortunate enough to be invited to this place, a real honour as we were the first Lau Wei to visit. We went to another which was fully populated but they didn't want us to film them - the women ran away from me (which has happened before). It may be a bit long and the quality is poor but I find this very interesting.

Damn the place look Run down, hope tourist dollars can rebuilt that gaping hole in the wall. the Hakka clan is one of the oldest most conservative n traditional clan, its as close as u get to the Ancient chinese with traditions dating back to the Qin dynasty over 2000 old

Thanks for posting this part of my heritage, I am actually Hakka, 4th generation overseas Chinese Hakka, am Aussie by nationality. I would love to someday visit these tulou!

So glad you posted this and that I stumbled upon it. I've had an interest in the Hakka Roundhouses since seeing a photo but your video of moving through the space was, well, almost 3-dimensional (as video can be).
