  • Kimmaytube, just want you to know that of all the youtube ladies I have ever followed/watched, your journey has had the most impact on me. I gave up believing my hair could grow. I have always desired long hair, but didn't think it was attainable. Because you have recorded your journey, and taken such a professional/straight forward approach, you have shown me that long hair growth is not only attainable, but that I can do it too! My hair-once chin length, is now down to my shoulders! Thanks!

  • OK this .. is what I needed. clear cut recipe, explanation of how to use PH balance to choose the products that will keep hair healthy and moisturized

  • Hi Kimmay.....did you ever test the pH of the aloe vera plant itself as you mentioned? aloe vera juice is quite expensive where i am, so i would love to know if i can use the plant itself, which i harvest at home and use to wash my face (the gel from the plant)

  • Kimmaytube, do you have any recommendation to strengthen the hair, I know some naturals use Aphogee. I have used it when relaxed, but my hair hates it. I think I might be protein sensitive.

  • YES! that dr bronners is VERY STRONG ! i use to wonder why my hair was soo dry, squeaky clean & frizyy. i stopped usin it 2weeks ago , ill use it as a body wash or something but thank goodness i found out the ph is 8.9 so even if i dilute it its stil not good becus water has a higher ph den hair

  • Just watched all 4. THANK YOU SOOO SO MUCH KIMMAY!! XOXO

  • I think you have to do what works for you. I have been using it for about 4 years. I use it when I feel I have excessive build up in my hair from beeswax or just from using a lot of butters. Everyone's hair is different, my body PH may be more or less acidic than your because of our different diets, so it might work in my hair and might not work in yours. Next thing you know they will be telling us shea butter causes cancer. Dont believe the hype. Do you.

  • I can see myself now carrying around my PH strips testing products in the store before I buy them ;-) I was so close to giving up on my hair and this has saved it! All recommendations from others have failed my hair and I couldn't figure out why. Now I see the scientific reasoning behind products that work for some and not for others. This series is surpassed informative. Much oblige to you!!

  • Wow, these videos blow my mind. I have been natural since 2006 and have had troubles maintaining my length. Last year I started using the leave in conditioner recipe you have posted, then doing the twist style. My hair grew 5 inches in 8 months! But I'm shocked to find out the Castile soap is so Alkaline. YIKES!!! I just used it a couple of days ago. It's going in the trash. I really need to buy those pH strips. Thank you for sharing the knowledge.

  • My dad used baking soda instead of toothpaste.

  • oh wow! Kimmay Kimmay Kimmay, I can't thank you enough for educating me on all this stuff! I feel like I know so much more about my hair now and I'm now equipped to make valuable decisions when buying products and caring for my hair! Thank you!! God bless you!
