@virgipirgi so what is power and energy in haunches mean to you? when they articulate the hock in a more of bend......again that is only conformation and style very similiar to what you say that his hind looks like now...every horse is different in body and way of going. Your ideal of dressage is dependent only on a horses way of going by birth not by training, you can force a horse to snap its hocks and make one believe it is carrying and thrusting with power!

Briar has NO ENERGY OR POWER in his haunchess at ALL! He surely can throw his forehand to the stars, but this is not dressage! This is showriding -.- dressage should be ridden from the hind with a strong hindleg which carries the weight and a back that moved upwards. nothing of this is shown by briar
