I had never seen this interview before- i'm amazed at how honest and down to earth Lucy is. Children the high point of her life, divorce the lowest. She was really something. -Miss her. Thank you for posting this.

I loved the reassurance the woman caller gives "I'm sure it's incorrect because anything Miss Ball is in has to be gooood" :) & To hear that endearing compliment of her "clean and high caliber" made me want to clap in front of my mac lol Because NO other show is on as much, and in as many places as "Lucy" as it RE-Introducing itself to different generations and different kinds of people- With not ONE derogatory plot! This is why I Love Lucy! :)

Why does this man say such dumb things to a legend? My god

Good on Lucy for the Crawford comment: "That's her problem." It's no secret Lucy was not a fan of drinking getting in the way of the show and Crawford was a drunk who needed take after take when she worked with Lucy. That wasn't professional. But it's also not professional to bash another actress and Ball knows both of these facts and is happy to leave facts where they are.

The Official Second Season of Lucille Ball's second series The Lucy Show, is coming to DVD on July 13, 2010! If you haven't seen the Lucy show it is so funny! And the second season co-stars Vivian Vance(Ethel)! Also it's in Color!

She really seemed to think this to be true.

Wonderful person. Honest and modest! Great!

The woman made the best situation comedy and one would want and nobody except Sinefield could touch it's success. But she was never knew how to end, she kept coming back and everytime it was not as good as what she did with I love Lucy. When she came back to do Life with Lucy she came back too much and the last time was the worst.

Thanks for these wonderful interviews. I had never seen them though I am a huge Lucy fan.
The lady that commented how "clean" lucy's shows are meant no use of foul language and use of graphic/non-graphic sexual scenes etc. And i agree with that lady. Leaving that stuff out of lucy's shows made it just that much better. Thank you lucy for endless laughs even though your no longer with us. One of your biggest fan's; Luther Fr OHIO

Lucy's response to the question about Rex Reed's negative review of "Mame" is very, very gracious. In fact, Lucy is at her most gracious (yet honest) in this interview.
