WHAT DO JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES BELIEVE IN?

THE BIBLE:- Jehovah's Witnesses believe that "all scripture is inspired of God." (2 Timothy 3:16). They align their beliefs with the bible.

The Creator:- The true God has given himself a personal name - Jehovah (or Yahweh)- This distiguishes him from false gods. (psalms 83 vs 18). The Hebrew form of the Divine name appears some 7000 times in the original text of the Scriptures. Stressing the importance of that name, Jesus said in his model prayer: "Hallowed be thy name." (Matthew 6:9). God demands exclusive devotion. Hence, the witnesses do not use icons or images in worship.-1 John 5:21

JESUS CHRIST:- He is the savior, "the Son of God," and "the firstborn of all creations." (John 1:34; Colossians 1:15; Acts 5:31) As a "created" being, he is not part of a Trinity. "The Father is greater than I am," said Jesus. (John 14:28) Jesus lived in heaven before coming to earth and after his sacrificial death and resurrection, he returned to heaven ."No one comes to the Father except through him."- John 14:6

GOD'S KINGDOM:- This is an actual heavenly government with a King-Jesus Christ- and 144,000 corulers, who are "brought from the earth." (Revelations 5:9, 10; 14:1,3,4; Daniel 2:44; 7:13,14) They will rule over the earth, which will be cleansed of all wickedness and will be inhabited by many millions of God-fearing humans.- Proverbs 2:21,22

THE EARTH:- Ecclesiastics 1:4 states: "The earth endures for ever." After the distruction of the wicked the earth would be made into a paradise and populated forever by righteous humans. (Psalms 37:10, 11, 29) Jesus' word in prayer "thy will be done on earth" will thus be fufilled .- Matthew 6:10.

BIBLE PROPHESY:- "God... cannot lie." (Titus 1:2) Hence what he foretells always comes true.

SECULAR AUTHORITIES:- "Pay back Ceasers' things to Ceaser and God's things to God" Jesus said (Mark 12:17) Accordingly, Jehovah's Witnesses obey the laws of the land when those do not conflict with God's law.- Acts 5:29; Romans 13: 1-3

PREACHING:- Jesus fortold: "This Good news of the Kingdom will be proclaimed earthwide before the end of the present world. (Matthew 24:14) Jehovah's Witnesses consider it an honor to share in this lifesaving work. Of course whether people listen or not is their own choice. The bible says: "Let anyone that wishes take life's water free."- Revelations 22:17

BAPTISM:- Jehovah's Witnesses baptise only those who, on the basis of a thorough study of the Bible, want to serve God as one of his witnesses. (Hebrew 12:1) These symbolizes their personal dedication to God by water immersion. -Matthew 3:12,16; 28:19

The Clergy-laity distinction:- "All of you are brothers,' said jesus to his followers. (Matthew 23:8) The early Christians, including the bible writers, had no clergy class. This Biblical pattern is the one that Jehovah's Witnesses follow

As a former member of several of Babylon's religions, I am so thankful to Jehovah God for His Witnesses, and for your faithfulness in proclaiming the Bible's message of God's Kingdom. Were it not for the Witnesses studying the Bible with me, I would still be hopelessly addicted to immoral sex and I would have been divorced by now. I cannot wait until I can become a Witness myself in 2015. Praise Jehovah and Remain on the Watch! I feel like Ruth did when she choose Jehovah as her God.Isa48:17

@kelyaum haha, well that is between them and Jehovah. I am not worried about their antics, because It would only end in futility. No one ever fought against Jehovah and succeeded.

@customanalogue haha, wow. I only pray Jehovah opens the eyes and mind of everyone to accept the truth for what it is, allowing scripture to interpret scripture. How does one accept on part of the bible and refuses another part. They have failed to realize that all scriptures (Old or New, Hebrew or Greek) is inspired of God 2tim 3:16-17. I will forever be grateful to Jehovah for the privilege of service, I am the only Witness of Jehovah in my family, it is tough but the truth set me free

I realised that I have made comments as both customanalogue and younot2funny. Apologies. Just to be clear, I'm the same person.

I had this discussion re "false prophets" in Deut 13 which of course was written by Moses as it is part of the Mosaic Law. I asked him about Evolution? Yes, he said. I asked if he even believed if Moses was a REAL person? No answer. I said to him "I can't believe I am being corrected by an Evolutionist who ignores HUGE CHUNKS of the Bible."

@younot2funny yes brother it is funny, but we all know that true worship has always faced attacks from posers claiming to be custodians of God's word. Remember the Sadducees who denied there was a hope of the resurrection, yet still used the scripture to burden the poor Jews. You are in a very lucky location with such diversity in your congregation, stories from our persecuted friends from different lands makes us even stronger in our service to Jehovah

I have found out something very interesting. Many who make anti-JW videos, ask them whether they believe in Evolution. I am amazed many say they do. Ask them if they believe whether Adam was a REAL person. Ask WHO in the Bible are REAL persons and WHO are not. Noah? Moses? Abraham? WHERE do you draw the line.

They don't believe in HUGE CHUNKS of the Bible and yet they will USE the Bible in their attacks against us.

This exposes that they have a BIG CREDIBILITY PROBLEM.
