Amazing what Newfie Dogs can do! This particular one belongs to a friend who lives in California. They actually have two and both of them get to do what they are bred to do and they do it very well.

@timetoparty11 There are societies you can join and they help you train your dogs to do this! Otherwise you could try to just do it yourself. My aunt trains her dogs for herding sheep all by herself and pretty much always has.

wow i cant believe all the hate comments, if this is cruel so is 7 dogs pulling a dog(im not sure if its 7 just using a random number, i know its usually odd though becuase u haev the lead dog) sled or 2 horses pulling a carriage, if your gonna complain about cruelty complain about people who keeps their dogs outdoors all day in cages with roofs during the winter, any bit of snow we get the dog will die from the snow going to high and the dog having no where to go, nice dogs, the wife wants 1

These dogs are designed to rescue human beings. Pulling a small boat by rope would be nothing for them.

oh god, comlaining animal cruelty tubers, we meet again. -__- (please get yourselves a bottle of scotch and a handgun and go be depsessed somewhere because most of you never even had a dog or you are the kind who think of dogs as porcelain figures and put fucking make-up on your dog..

The only thing i was pissed about was the shaky camera hand which did'nt let me see this awesome triumph for Newfie-kind!

Oh yeah, the dog is pulling by it's own will, it thinks it's fun. :D  -So shut up.

Yeah any one that is saying it is cruel for this newfie to do this are silly. He was not exhausted and they are bred to be big strong and very good swimmers and enjoy pulling things through water as they are effectively life saver dogs.

newfoundlands dogs are working dogs that love doing work and they are ment for water even really could waters they are really loyal so ya they are happy to do whatever u tell them to do
