  • Wish I knew that there were many Dreamcast games that came out back in the day. If I had known that, I would have bought more games and kept my Dreamcast.

  • @narox There are loads of them. Buy the Dreamcast now :P

  • Looks quite interesting. Wasn't there an unreleased sequel?

  • @ash81b4u Yup, then there was an online PC game.

  • this is one of my favorite games on dc unfortunately null dc doesn't support this game...

  • Nostalgic. Serious nostagia

  • haha holy shit i remember picking this up at an Ames department store in the discount bin or something and played the fuck out of it for a week strait until i realized it was completely pointless LOL. good times and nostalgic nonetheless. good times bro

  • This looks similar to the game just released for PC: "Space Pirates and Zombies". Of course Space Pirates and Zombies is a little more flashy.

  • Multiplayer was awesome!

  • Then again, as far as I know they aren't getting paid for their efforts now, so such a game as I'm imagining probably would not be feasible. I could go into more detail as far as how I thought the second one would have turned out, but it seems there's no point, as it's likely not going to happen, at least with this specific line of games. I do sort of recall that Armada Online might have been Pay2Play once it was at least out of Alpha, or at full release, though it is taking a while, idc really.

  • They could have made it sort of like Diablo in space, maybe a bit faster to level overall though, and have a really high level cap that takes a long time to reach the top of, but isn't necessary other than for bragging rights, or perhaps to beat the very last areas solo/with a partner or two. Once the basic, fun gameplay was in place, they could have added all the other community based events and such. There was so much potential for all kinds of fun missions, locations, weapons and other gear.

  • This game was great, I wish the guys who were developing Armada Online had kept it an action space shooter. I'd have much rather had it been a large scale coop that got harder with more players present, that was fast and furious like the original, than to be another grindfest. The first game was so much more rewarding, and I didn't want it to end.

I tried Armada Online about a year ago, was going to see if there's been any interesting updates. From what I remember of it, I'm not expecting much.
