you just proved my point. Chlorine and Chloride are different by virtue of their molecular makeup. That they have similar elements is irrelevant when each is viewed separately and as a whole on it's own. Don't google or wikipedia information and try to pretend that you invented science. Sodium chloride is different from chlorine bleach in every way that is important. Chlorine is the element. Chloride is the anion form of chlorine when bonded to a cation, in the case of salt Na. The reason there is an "-ide" is because of the fact that it's the anion in the molecule.

You seem to have missed the point, anyway, so to elaborate: the fun thing about molecules is they have properties that are beyond the properties of the individual atoms. Hydrogen is extremely volatile. Water isn't. Simple enough?

All of these things have been around long before we started building factories that pump smoke into the air starting a few hundred years ago. These hacks pretend the planet is small but it is massive.

As for there not being too much CO(2), I guess it's my fault for using a vague phrase like "too much". The problem isn't that there is CO(2) in the air, it's how much is in the air. Considering it is a GHG and is not being naturally sequestered because we're removing it from where it was sequestered through fossil fuels, and putting it back in the atmosphere, there's an effect gained from it.

what does chlorine have to do with salt? Salt is sodium chloride. Chlorine is a by-product of aluminum manufacturing, it is highly toxic. There isn't too much CO2 in the air or we couldn't survive. There is more nitrogen and CO2 in the air we breathe than oxygen. The oceans are the main repository of CO2 and regulate the planets temperature in conjunction with the sun. We simply cannot compete with those two factors. I think you need to learn to READ more and attack people on the internet less

And salt is a useful part of our diets despite chlorine being incredibly dangerous to us... There's a difference between CO(2) and carbon just as a part of a molecule.

Beyond that, the problem isn't that there's CO(2) in the air, it's that there's too much CO(2) in the air.

this is old. The EPA recently ruled that Co2 is a toxic pollutant which it is not. This is not your standard "war on drugs, war on terror" this is open war on humanity and nature now. They pretend they want to save the planet. Plants are made of carbon. Humans too. We emit it when we breathe. Everything on this planet turns to carbon when it is burned, carbon is the base biological unit of the planet. You have just been declared the enemy.
