This video inspired me to give Plan 9 a try, and I have to say I can see why it never supplanted unix. I had a very hard time trying to use it, and couldn't even get the networking running. I'll stick to linux, thanks. It's too bad, Plan 9 looked really interesting too.

I think this is much better then Chrome OS, in regards to the network / signals and things that could be accomplished with Plan 9. I was surprised that it's actually being used in some commercial environments now too!
