Why did they close this station?

the reason this station isnt used is because the floor is curved, so look at the gap between the doors and the platform, really bad design, they dont want anyone falling in between.

The station itself is closed to the public. The 6 trains have to come here to turn around...

They use that station so that the 6 train can loop around.
