I agree with Regina; so-called "hipster parenting" is little more than cultural consumption. And there's nothing new or unusual about indoctrinating kids into their parents' culture of choice. Really, I don't see how this is much different from getting kids involved in sports or beauty contests or horseback riding or whatever.
