I realize this doesn't make much sense, but when I was a kid clowns never scared me. Now that I'm an adult they totally creep me out!

That's the problem with Fearfest. It gets too crowded. When there's a line-up like that, it doesn't become scary because you know what's coming up.
After trying both Fearfest and Screemers, I definitely prefer Screemers.

It's not ridiculously big. It's at the Ex, costs about $30. They have 6 walk-through haunted houses, and midway rides. It's quite a lot of fun. I recommend it for you next year. This October was my 5th time in a row going and I've enjoyed it so much more than Fear Fest. The lines are pretty good at Screemers if you don't go on or in the week before Halloween and the workers are scary and amazing!
