Actually, the "eric/sookie shit" is a MAJOR part of the books. so it's perfectly understandable that people want the show to be, if not exactly faithful, at least close to the main plot points of the source material.

I think she was just tired and bored. Comic Con is exhausting, and she wasn't asked a lot of questions on the panel.

Actually, she probably does at this point. Rutina said that AB came to her at the end of S4 and told her that she would be a vampire next season. They don't just spring these things on actors usually. Rutina needed to know if she still had a job in case there were other long-term project offers available.

I love how happy Kristin gets when she is asked a question and I love how animated Alex gets when he is talking about Eric and Pam's characters. These two just made the entire panel for me.
