Two Trick Pony presents Wolf Larsen and Miss Erica's dance class at ACORN Woodland Elementary School in Oakland, California, singing "Wild Things" from Larsen's debut album Quiet at the Kitchen Door.

Wolf Larsen is a San Francisco songwriter, writer-writer and Leonard Cohen lover. Best listened to by candlelight, on long drives, or walking in nature with a good set of headphones, her debut album Quiet at the Kitchen Door is guaranteed to break your heart -- badly -- but in the best possible way.

She has been described as the lost daughter of Leonard Cohen, and separated at birth from Margot Timmons of the Cowboy Junkies. The songs on Kitchen Door were written over a period of one year, and like all records they are a collection of stories about hope, heartbreak, love, loss, God and death.

Larsen's unusual name comes from her grandfather, for whom she was named. Known for her arresting live performances, Wolf routinely brings the room to a standstill. With a sincerity, stillness and gentle approach to playing her nylon string guitar, Larsen forces an audience to lean in closer - and to feel the Quiet as a part of the fabric of her songs.

Quiet at the Kitchen Door was created entirely independently, mostly with the generous help of local San Francisco friends and musicians.

For the release of her first record, Larsen is donating a significant portion of proceeds to organizations that invest in the education of girls around the world, starting with The Nike Foundation's initiative called The Girl Effect Fund. The Girl Effect is the notion that investing in women, particularly in girls, is the best, fastest way to save the world. Along with UNESCO, The World Health Organization, and USAID, Wolf believes in this idea 100% and wants to dedicate her record release to spreading this worthy meme around.
