This video conveniently cuts out a lot of important things that Ballmer says, including that the iPhone might sell very well and that Microsoft's advantage is choice (of carrier and hardware). It also adds a stupid song in the background for some reason. Watch the FULL conversation before you judge. Ballmer was really fairly reasonable here.

No, but I am sure some Microsoft fans expected he at least knew a little about the area he is supposed to be boss for. All other people just laugh at him, because he is a complete joke, but for a microsoft fan it must be heart breaking to know that the religious leader they believe in, is actually dumb as a stone. Personally, I think he should have a red nose and a funny outfit and then he could take a job as a clown in a circus. He will fit in right away.

He speaks like he knows nothing, and what comes out of his mouth, he randomly read the day before in the news paper. He has no imagination, no thinking of his own, his brain is dead. I actually don't think he is that dumb, I think he is even dumber, but he has learned to desguise his non-intelligense with this to fool people.

I am pretty sure he will be a good washing powder sales man, or anything where tech knowledge is not mandatory.

It's Ballmer's character that draws criticism. He comes across as flagrant and clueless, making spurious statements that blow up in his face. I'm sure he tries to leverage the wacky, tripped out persona to boost morale, but he just overdoes it. It's hard to tell when he's being serious -- most of the time it's like he's licking his wounds and trying to deflect the questions.
