There are only two times in my life that I have been really affected by the passing of a celebrity. The first was Christopher Reeve and the second was Clarence, When I heard of Reeve I could'nt believe that the man who I always looked up to as the real Superman since I was a kid, had died. When The Big Man died I started to wonder how much life real rock'n'roll had left and what happens when all your heroes die

@like2utube I was in junior high when I went to my first show... I think they saved my life too-- and more than once over the next 30+ years. I don't respond to medications/doctors but I've always responded to this band. It makes you realize the power/healing when the right people are brought together. On this day of Clarence's stroke I reast easier knowing he KNOWS what he's done for so many. Get well soon!

As I was driving to do one the hardest things in my life Born To Run came on the radio. It was no accident. That song gives me strength every time i hear it.
You hit the nail on the head, Big Man. What you do IS very important. When I first started listening to Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band during the mid-seventies, I was in junior high. I think you saved my life.
