Super Mario Sunshine - Yoshi-Go-Round's Secret 1'17"00

November 05, 2006 - My highscore in collecting the 8 red coins in the Yoshi-Go-Round's Secret (Pinna Park, Shine 6).

Seems to be a very popular level (one of my most viewed vids) and I like it, too.
You can save most of the time in the beginning by jumping to the first and the second red coin as shown in the video. The rest at the orange blocks requires only standard skills.
Also remarkable: I had luck to get this good time with two 0s in the end :-)

Hey is it possible beating the red coin timer levels without FLUDD? I mean it is very hard to finish in time even with FLUDD. (Many of them were in last miliseconds :D ) How could someone get all that before time runs out without hover. Also some were inaccessible without it.

By the way nice speedrun. I always had hard time getting the coin you collected 6th. Shortcut trick was nice in 0:28. Now I understand, I had wasted lot time there going around while trying to get it.. :P

Nice idea. I think in some levels it would be possible without fludd surely, but in others not (e.g. coins on stars in the Secret of the Hillside Cave).

But without fludd the red coins don't appear...

I just could not use it, but that would be kind of stupid as well, since in some levels some red coins are collectable only with fludd.

Play the level once without fludd, and you'll keep it once you come back to get the red coins...
