Till Summer Comes Around Chapter 15

"Theres more..." I said looking over at him still crying.

"More?" he asked and I nodded and turned to face him wiping my face with my right hand.

"We...I...I'm..."

"your not-"

"pregnant" I said turning away...I had said it...now it was true.

"Is that why you got married?" he asked and I shook my head still crying.

"No...no We hadn't... never ...and than we got married and...and now..."

"Are you sure?" he asked and I nodded staring at the ground.

"I'm postive... I ... took 3 home tests" I said trying to stop crying but I just couldn't.
It started to rain and Matt gently grabbed my arm and I pulled it free.

"Come on..." he said and I shook my head

"I can't!" I said turning and looking out at the ocean again

"You can't stand out here in the rain" Matt said raising his voice and I shook my head my wet hair going back and forth.

I sat down on the ground the rain getting heavier, as I cried, Matt stood there as I sat there on the ground sobbing, I don't know how long I actually sat
there before the thunder got louder and louder and I felt Matts arms come around me and pick me up.
I felt weak and helpless I didn't even try to resist him.

It was a silent drive to my apartment, and Matt carried me inside.

"What happened?" Johnny asked as Matt carried me to my room and laid me on my bed.

Matt pushed Johnny out of the room and shut the door.

"Are you the one taking care of her?" I heard Matt ask through the door.

"Yea" Johnny said "What the hell? Who are you?"

"Did you know she's pregnant?" Matt asked and I heard silence.

"Pregnant?" Johnny whispered after awhile

"Yea... she doesn't look good, she looks like she hasn't eat or slept in weeks"

"Shes pregnant?!?! Who are you a doctor?"

"I'm Matt... I'm...I'm James brother"

"Oh good so I can punch you instead of the jerk who got her knoc-"

"Shut up! That girls a wreck in there and you better just shut up about James he loved her more than anything...and he's dead now..."

There was silence and I rolled over staring out the window at the rain. I blinked feeling a tear
come out of my eye and roll down my cheek. I closed my eyes as hard as I could.

"I do" James said smiling at me that sparkle in his eyes.

"and do you Rebekah Lesson take James Sullivan to be your lawfully wedded husband for better for worse for richer for poorer in sickness and in health till
death do you both part?"

"I do" I said smiling at James like I never had before.

"I now pronounce Mr. and Mrs. James Sullivan you may kiss your bride"

James stepped closer and kissed me. When he pulled away I opened my eyes and wrapped my arms around his neck and smiled.
I felt his arm go under my legs and his hand behind my back as he picked me up and smiled as I giggled.

I opened my eyes

"Good morning beautiful" he whispered as I looked into his blue eyes. I smiled and rolled over on to my back the smile never leaving my face.

"I love you Mrs. Sullivan" James said and I looked over at him

"I love you Mr. Sullivan" I said leaning up and kissing him.

It was the first day of our lives together... we would be together forever now.

I heard the door open and found myself looking at the rain again.

"Rebekah" Johnny said and I didn't move

"Please just go Johnny...please" I whispered "Go home..." I said and I heard the door shut again, than the front door. I closed my eyes.

I reached across the bed until I couldn't reach anymore, I opened my eyes reliezing he wasn't
next to me, he was there just a second ago, in my dreams and now he was gone. It was sinking in.
I got up and walked into my kitchen. It was silent, he was gone...
I touched my stomach and than reached for the coffee.

"You know you really shouldn't be drinking coffee"

I glanced out of the kitchen and every ounce of breath left my chest as I sew Matt sitting on the couch. At a glance he looked so much like him. I leaned against the counter.

"Why are you still here?" I asked not looking back into the living room.

"Oh I'm just leaving...I just wanted to let you know that I was going back to my hotel for awhile I'll be back tonight though" he said and I heard him leave.

I shook my head as I walked over to the fridge and opened it. I stopped where I was seeing 5 Coca Cola cans.
I had bought them for James because I knew they were his favorite.

"He'll never get the chance to have them" I half whispered before shutting the fridge and sitting on the ground.

I couldn't stop the tears that came out as I sat there
