Well, I wanted to do a video using all three film versions of Thomas Hardy's "Tess Of The D'Urbervilles" and I thought Natalie Merchant's haunting song fit Tess's life quite well. So this is pretty much from her perspective, and I enjoyed using the three movies, as good and moving as they are in different ways and with different visions. Hope you agree!

I just watched this movie a couple of weeks ago and it caught me, now I wanna see every version of it or even read the book. IMDB brought me here Muirmaiden, nice to see a video that shows the three Tesses, It must be the only one doing that.

okay, i have to say i have not seen the oldest version yet, but the other ones. my absolute fav as far is that one of 2008. so brilliant actors. and most i love eddie redmayne as angel, who isn't really an angel :'-( very lovely vid.

That was soo beautiful! I've only seen the 2008 version, which I really, really love, but I should probably see the others one, too, and read the book, of course. The only thing is, I don't like Justine Waddell and I don't support Roman Polanski. :/

@WolfQueene, I don't support Roman Polanski either but he is a brilliant filmmaker. Justine Waddell personally is my favorite Tess.
