  • Just read that the band is now defunct...hopefully a temporary thing. Glissando was a source of great pride for me as a disaffected London Youth. Gave me a real sense of pride and accomplishment. Parris and Pedro have risen 'phoenix like' before...I hope the band will be back in the near future!

  • Yea I was playing the Tenor bass the with my afro ha ha ha. I agree with olpanman who ever you are they were the best times of pan in England

  • LOL! look at paris!!!

  • Ha ha. Look at Parris on congas.

  • Pedro Burgess and Bernard Parris are legends!!

I had the honor of being in this band for a few years before this performance. Those were great times! Junior, Godwin, Jacqui, Ingrid, Randy, Chris, Matilda, Mina, Maggie..to name a few -a hugely talented group of performers. It's great that though the lineup has changed ...GLISSANDO lives on!! It was a highpoint in my life to be with that incarnation of that amazing orchestra!

  • Pedro the arranger is a LEGEND!!

  • Go Jacqui and Ingrid Gordon Harris!!!! These women are the forgotten backbone of steelpans in London!
