  • A wee bit later than we'd hoped, but on budget, and beautifully finished. :)

  • Never thought the homeowner would be reading this and now I see how rude my comment was. Sorry. How did the project turn out? Time wise, money wise, finished product?

  • True, prefab would have saved us time, but all the PreFab designs available in Vancouver in late 2009 (when we started the process) included bathrooms attached to kitchens on the main floor. We wanted the bedroom and bathroom on the same floor, so we had to go custom - and I'm pretty sure we saved about $60k over PreFab anyhow by going with a reputable builder with a long history with its suppliers.

  • Snore. Should have prefab'd it! Why put your neighbours and yourself through all those months of construction noise?? There are a couple of very good custom prefab laneway house builders in Vancouver.
