Overcoming the fear of ghosts and superstition: only Christ

Baptism allows all believers to be one in Christ. Thats what Benedict XVI said in his homily at the mass in Luanda, referring to the historic moment 500 years ago that drew different tribes under one Christian kingdom in Angola. Today evangelization must vanquish the fear of ghosts, those evil spirits which so many people accuse of disorienting and threatening them so they are incapable of changing aberrant social behavior. If we realize that without Christ life is incomplete, that it is missing something fundamental, we must also be convinced we are not treating anyone unjustly if we present Christ to them. Evangelizing is an obligation so that all can be saved.
