Glimpse the atmosphere of Amazonia in these short extracts. The full-length 2-screen video projection is part of Lucy + Jorge Orta's Amazonia exhibition, opening on 6 October.

Watch the full stunning Amazonia video in large double-screen projection at the exhibition. It features imagery and sounds recorded during the artists' expedition to Peru. The video is 23 minutes long.

The video follows a journey through the Amazon Basin from its glacial sources into the grassland, descending several thousand metres to the Amazon rainforest.

Gaia. the Greek goddess of Earth, is the voice that introduces the poetic narrative which accompanies the video. The poem unfolds through a conversation between a man and Gaia, a story that shapes and prompts us to reflect on the plight of nature.
