this is a forum where everybody can express themselves honestly provided what
they say isn't too radical or extremist. i found nothing you said offensive and admire your fearlessness in speaking out about the environment in which you live. maybe producing
videos is something you really like to do, so go for it!! learn everything you can
about the process and just do it and don't feel like the lone stranger. i've never made
any money from my art either.

@scentmuse, I just now noticed your response. I haven't checked for a while! Thank you very much for your sincere thoughts. You offer very good advice! I hope I did not offend you or anyone else with my somewhat strong comments. That was not my intent.

granted the american pie i was referring to was baked 40 years ago. maybe all that's left now is a burnt crust. i get the picture and understand where you're coming from. i left m.v. to escape from becoming a nasty statistic; but if you're stuck in a boring town, and cannot leave, you must find something you really like to do. maybe that's the only escape which allows a person to feel good about themselves. you can be the change you desire.

@scentmuse, With all due respect, a man had a cross burned on his lawn several months ago! Granted, it may have been only one person or a small group, but that sounds really racist to me. It is 2011, we have a black President, and that's what's going on in our "slice of american pie"! It doesn't sound comforting, does it?

naples florida was nirvana once upon a time and so was mt vernon. it's just another slice of american pie. if you make good memories, that's what you will carry forward with you wherever you happen to be from or end up. racist? sure. it's not far from mason dixon. but my friends, you will discover racism wherever you travel in this fair land. does that mean everyone, or even the majority are 'racists'? i don't think so.

I never really disliked MV because of the 'lack of opportunities" that many complain about - it's more about how prejudice the community is. Good God, the people there stupid as hell. It's populated with racist hicks and ghetto people.

i just moved here damn should have seen this first
That is a scream and all so so true. But you forgot to show all the racist rednecks that lurk in the town.
