Representative Candice Miller (MI-10) joined FOX News and discussed why the federal government needs to stop managing the National Flood Insurance Program; an actuarially unsound, failing federal program and which is nearly 20 billion of dollars in debt. The federal government is a bad insurance company, and the government should be focused on allowing states to form regional insurance compacts to spread their risk, as well as working to further open the market for private insurance options -- all without the federal government running the program.
I thank God for Rep. Miller's sensible fight. She is reasonable, frugal with the public's dollars and not afraid to speak on issues that the mass media refuses to give attention. Thanks to FOX for encouraging and allowing this balance.
