E.T. Flying theme using EWQL Symphonic Orchestra Silver

This arrangement of the theme is the one in the edexcel A level music syllabus. I have copied it all into cubase and applied VST instruments from the music library East West Quantum Leap Symphonic Orchestra Silver Pro XP. The edexcel version of the score is very different from the original, so i tweaked a few notes to make it sound a bit more like the original. e.g. the violins at 0:46 go up instead of down. The ending is the main difference, which I've tried to recreate as similarly to the original as possible. Feel free to ask any questions. Enjoy :)

isnt there something wrong withoverall dynamic toward the end sound like you lowering the entire dynamic range instead of going on individual track, the decrease in db is spread over the entire spectrum, i dont know maybe its me, but it would sound better if you wouldve done it one instrument at a time

@lapmarty i know what you mean, i think its more to do with the fact that i havent used heavy compression on the master or any individual tracks. Such a sound may work better with classical music but most film music is heavily compressed.

great job! are you running east west on a mac or pc? also, do you program the notes in or play live and quantize? both?

@ramseyjohnson I'd strongly advise you convert to Mac. For regular usage there isn't much difference, however the sound software for Macs tends to be better, faster and more user-friendly. In that it WANTS you to make good music, unlike Cubase or Reason that seem to just want to make the creation of music that much more difficult.

Once of the best mock-ups I've ever heard! I bet it took years to develop such skills. This is pretty much the best that EWQL libraries can do :) I also use their libraries to make mock-ups for my compositions.
