@dailacey Dai, I've sent you a message. My advicde is don't paddle the river on your own. Get someone that knows what they are doing to lead you down. It looks easy in the clip but there's a few grade 3 drops.

@dailacey Hi Dai,
You can get in as high as the Ogmore Vale (there's another wier if you do that though!) The stretch in the clip is from underneath the motorway bridge (top of Bridgend) down to the wier by the leisure centre (the rec). Fancy a bash?
