  • I remember having to memorize a Frost poem in high school. It wasn't more than just another task to do and I didn't comprehend the brilliance of the words I committed to memory. A few of these comments seem to echo my experience. It's such a shame. Frost is nothing short of genius, and I realize that now. Not enough good poetry gets truly absorbed by the youth these days :(

  • i remember i saw this on the wall in high school and thought that it must be lame, if it's on the wall there. but later ... i read it again one day, not really recognizing it ... and when I reached the last stanza, the top of my head blew off.

  • Der unbeschrittene Weg Zwei Wege trennten sich im herbstlichen Wald, und leider konnte ich nicht beide beschreiten, da ich doch nur einer war; lange machte ich Halt und sah so weit es ging dem einen nach, bis er im Unterholz verschwand. Ich nahm den and'ren, nicht minder schön, dem meine Schritte wohl teuer war'n da er, von Gras überwuchert, wollt' beschritten sein; obschon die Wand'rer, die dort gingen, beide gleich zu gebrauchen schienen.
