Saw them live just yesterday (Micachu and the Shapes). Let's face it. The boy can't sing and all they do is make boring, dissonant and repetitive noises.

I really don't give a shit about the "trendiness" of this music. I wasn't honestly even aware this band was trendy. I'm also not coming from a background where I expect artists to have "mad skillz" or some shit like that. If it pleases my ears I'm good with it. I like the noises and the way they all play together and thump into your head here. The fact that it's noisy, discordant, and repetitive is a plus for me. Straight up rock music gets boring quick, no matter how skilled the musicians are.
