It's time to choose...

Here are some of the things that cross my mind when I hear or see religion trying to impose itself upon our private, and indeed public, lives.
It certainly has not earned the respect it says it deserves.

Nothing is black and white, but I believe we are where we are today in spite of religion, not because of it.
The majority of educated people do not need it, that's for certain.

If this ever gets out to a wider audience then it will be interesting to see which religion thinks I picked on it in particular.

Obviously this is not meant to be threatening in any way, shape or form. It is merely a play on the Saw theme. Hence the disturbing monkey. I make no apologies for my crappy American accent, seeing as you guys butcher the language every day anyway ;)

Hello Fundamentalists.
I want to play a game.
For millennia you have treated the human race with contempt. You have stifled our spirit with your dogma and doctrines. You have taught us that we are ultimately worthless without a belief in your god. Our place is in the dirt on our knees, with heads bowed and backs bent. We must pray for the salvation of our miserable lives.
But now comes the resistance, begun long ago, but getting stronger all the time. You have begun to see your empires crumble and people are leaving your temples and they are not coming back. Your years of shouting to the heavens have been in vain. No matter how hard you try: Our eyes are open.
Your downfall will be due to your continuing struggle to stifle one of the fundamental human instincts: Curiosity.
Your lies to children fail as they grow up and [begin to] think for themselves, but many see you hide the truth anyway.
You have put innocent men and women to death, for stating their observations of the natural world. The list is long and by far is not limited to those that history remembers. Only you know how many you have destroyed for daring to Question. And yet we continue to do so.
The world is bigger, grander, more remarkable and incredible than the blinkered and rambling stories to which you adhere to with a hysteria bordering on insanity. Your feeble protests and arguments against secularism would fail, even if they were not so pathetic.
Do you know why you are so angry and are protesting with so much frenzied anguish? For prayer in schools; for the 10 commandments on every courthouse wall; for your errant daughter to be stoned to protect your honour; to not let the gays marry; for billboards to be removed; for a woman to be unable to decide what happens to her own body; to kill the heretics; to... teach the controversy. Do you know why?
Its because youre scared. Youre scared of change, of difference, of people thinking for themselves. Youre scared of death. Youre scared... of life.
I want to play a game. The game is this. We play for the future of the human race. We play for the lives of humanity. We play for their intellectual and emotional freedom. Make no mistake: You cannot win this game. Youve shown yourselves incompetent already.
Hundreds of years have passed since we awoke and began to realise we could be free of you. And we will be. Were doing it without firing a shot or condemning anyone to death.
Our weapon is that of Education. Your hold on society is crumbling and a world free of your tyranny and rules will burn bright and powerful, long into the future. You can keep your prehistoric beliefs and enjoy the love of your gods as you cry naked and alone in the filth and depravity of your intellectual dishonesty and pathetic, pointless rules.
Your lives will end in fear of the unknown, with unfulfilled and wasted time stretching behind you.
But it need not be this way. You can choose another path. You can join us. The time has come. Make your choice.

@KoOkiEzRoCkz Colour me surprised. Feel free to be harsh if you want, I'm thicker skinned than you might like to think and really don't care if you're rude to me. What's funny, though, is that I have no idea what religion you're advocating - You've said nothing that can pinpoint which particular book you like best.

But if you want to educate me, will you do me a favour and at least *try* to stick to proper English and grammar? Cheers, it makes things that little bit easier.

Curious question: How did you adjust it so that your voice came out like that? Like what did you do in the editing process? Great video and a response would be aweso,e, if not, thank you anyway :-).

If I recall correctly... It was one take in Audacity (note the small thud/click at the start after "Fundamentalists" which was me moving the mic), with the mic facing away from me and a sock over it. I looked up online how to do the voice and it turns out all you need to do is slow the track down slightly. I'm 'OK' at some vocal impersonations so it was that combined with a crappy US accent and lowering my voice too.

I first saw this vid as a mirror from MilitantPeaceist but I thought I'd come to pay my respects. A while back, I had a running joke where I invented customized "Hello, I wanna play a game" speeches for all my friends. Unlike my attempts though, this was actually pretty good :)

And not exactly, I've just wonderd how people have pulled it off because it always sounds so close as to the Jigsaw from the actual Saw movies. So, I thought I'd ask how you pulled it off :-). It gives me some ideas to do in Audacity now, haha.
