  • Wel as the saying goes; Baryshnikov had the PR team and Bujones had the technique

  • @kimmois1

i'm no expert in his biography, i only see he is a second rate dancer that made his way in the West by defecting the USSR where he couln't compete with dancers taller than him.

see all

  • @JRhuewing Bujones was one of the greatest dancers and techers of all time but Barishnikov bring to this world something new)he is just more than a dancer relly)

  • @tzar2007 And I see the writings of a sad fucking cunt. That's you my friend, you know fuck all so why not go and wank off your underage victims you fucking fucktarded cunt and stop chatting shit about shit you know fuck all about you cunt. Peace xxxx

  • @JRhuewing i have never heard that, though it is interesting. would you mind explaining?

  • Like Rudi, he needed to be seen LIVE at his peak to appreciate his gifts. Like Rudi the USSR's loss was the West's gain. Too many second-rate 'porteurs' masquerading as ballet dancers got a much-needed kick up the backside & standards rose - certainly in British ballet. The West gave them much more freedom of artistic expression and access to great choreographers.

  • This video doesn't even begin to show Mikhail's talent. This really isn't about him at all. Just because the first clip is of him, and a few seconds of him, a couple of more times...doesn't even begin to show his true talent.

I don't know how anyone could call him a second rate dancer.

This is just a crappy video...period.

  • @havenization

"identifiable" belongs to pop culture, not to adsolute values art that ballet is; and Baryshnikov is nothing more than a pop idol made famous through mass media, but there's God above that sees who is really what.

  • @tzar2007 Wow I must say that you seem to have a "know your place " attitude towards ballet. Misha was brasin and smart enough to brake out of that " cast system " and thus leading him to become the most identifiable ballet persona in the world of the last 40 yrs . The way I look at it , this is not his problem but thiers , "Stature" or not -Thier loss .

  • @havenization

his stature was his problem (or an advantage) and he made a problem out of it by dancing the main characters whereas he indeed was fit only to dance the peasants.
