Gotland Sweden

The island province of Gotland is represented by the current administrative entity, Gotland County. This county consists of the sole municipality (kommun) Gotland Municipality.
Visby, with about two fifths of the island's population (approximately 22,600), is the seat of the municipality as well as the capital of the county.
Gotland is located about 90 km east of the Swedish mainland and about 130 km from the Baltic States, Latvia being the nearest. The island Gotland is obviously just one island, but the historical province of Gotland also includes adjacent islands, which are often considered part of the Gotlandic culture

@Sarecaman548 Its not a country--its part of Sweden which is a country. However you are partly right because it was part of the hanseatic league--these traders saw themselves outside of the countries they belonged to.

I only went once so far, and that time it was raining heavily, but it was still great anyway. The rain-soaked tourist train was worth it. Gotland is now one of my favourite countries :)
