Nevada senior tight end Zach Sudfeld has been named a semifinalist for the prestigious John Mackey Award (nation's top tight end) and is an All-American candidate. Sudfeld is a senior who came back for a sixth season at Nevada after his 2011 campaign was ended when he suffered a broken leg in the season opener that required two surgeries to repair. Sudfeld has overcome a number of injuries in his career and his persistence and work ethic saw him voted as a team captain by his teammates this season.
