Kennyi Aouad, 2009 Spelling Bee, 5th place out of 11,000,000

Kennyi Aouad makes his third appearance at the Scrips-Howard Spelling Bee with regional champions from around the world. The word that eliminated him, palatschinken, was not listed in the 1,000 page list of words for the competition and had roots in 5 languages. No other final word had roots in more than 3 languages. This video is a tribute to a wonderful personality and a spelling genius.
