This was so inferior to the original in so many ways. Not one actor in this has the charisma that Robert Shaw had. Also, Tony Scott has an aesthetic sensibility that is borderline incomprehensible. Many of the set-pieces didn't make sense because of the frenetic editing.

Usually before a movie comes out they have premieres, and screenings for people to see the film in advance.. and if your lucky you can get a ticket.
