my spitfire is even smaller

@SpitfireMK26b Awesome economy from a V8 considering my 172 burns the same and only has 4 clynders and 160hp!!!
-
or does it have a remote oil tank?
-
is it fully aerobatic? I would think a normal v8 oil pump wouldnt pick up oil in inverted flight.
-
top speed ???

@sablatnic I don't think so sablatnic. Once you have the jigs set up it's all just sheet metal. My point to making it more affordable is that you would sell more planes. You may not make as much per plane, but in shear volume you would eventually make more.

That's a lovely aircraft (modelled on the Spitfire it was almost bound to be) and you are to be congratulated for bringing it successfully to flight. If I may though add a personal thought - I hate that shark's mouth. A decoration rarely seen on Spitfires, and far more characteristic of the Curtis P40. However, that said, it's your aircraft. Blue skies! Rob

My best guess is, that if they sold the kits at the price of a RV, they would lose a lot of money.
-
- What is it?
- The, uh, stuff that dreams are made of.

Nice plane, however I don't understand why it cost so much! If you sold the kit for what a Vans RV cost you'd make a lot more money just in volume. I would love to build one but for the price I would probably opt for one of the Vans designs.
How much do the kits cost?
