@paulagloria can't really say practitioner, rather an enthusiast. I do find bits and pieces of AT very useful and fascinating but at the same time I often struggle to find information and practical advice in the web. I should probably stick to individual lessons and F.M. Alexander's books...

@probablyjustme77 it is amazing that if you feel this way you even stuck it out to GET to part 2. Are you a practitioner of the Alexander Technique?
-
@paulagloria not at all, I have experienced and I am experiencing that effect in my life so I've got no reason to doubt it. It's the "artistic interpretation" part that I don't buy. I may be a little on the dark side today or I'm simply more "cut to the cheese" minded sort of person but I find it hard to digest half and hour of talking with very little sense to it. Second part is better.

@probablyjustme77 what don't you buy? The relationship between changing social patterns in the same way we change our physical personal body's carriage?
-
@paulagloria blah blah blah bullshit. Things that were good and genuine in my life always felt so obvious and natural (even if very challenging to my usual ways). And this is very much the case with Alexander Technique, wihich is its essence simply brilliant. BUT at the same time I often hear people working SO HARD to sound relaxed (in a smug and silly way), deep and artistic about it and it can be so irritating when I'm having a bad day. It's a load of crap, I don't buy it.

@curtmaly thanx for leaving the comment because I am not too sure the video is understood.....can you tell me what you liked about it? I adore the Alexander Technique and think its potential is huge if explored and thus I tried to show the relationship between personal and social bodies as operating under similar principles.

Great video! I justhad to leave a comment! Yep...GREAT!
We all have room to become more aware of our patterns of behavior and growth. I get that embodiment changes one's orientation, disposition and approach to social interactions. What i hear is that both parties, in this conversation, could gain further benefits from more embodiment work. One individual has an impatient, pressured, tense pattern in her speech, which makes me feel restless & uncomfortable. The other has a more jovial pattern of interrupting and talking over people.

I really like your insights here. What would embodiment work do to help the person suffering from being talked over?
