Aerial view of the Missouri River, overlooking Omaha and Council Bluffs. The flood gates have not been fully opened yet and you can see the damage already. This will be the worst disaster in over a 100 years. This is I-29 in Iowa, between the Mormon Bridge and Crescent, landing at Eppley Airfield in Omaha.

• So sad to witness this moronic take on the supposed flood, as it was not a natural disaster in any way, shape, or form. It was a "manmade occurrence" which is due to the direct action of the soetoro(obama) administration. Obviously impossible to hide but received nearly zero national news coverage, as the media clearly belonging to and protecting him at every turn. Hold on to your hat as we ain't seen nothin' yet. 2011 was merely a test run... it shall return with very bad ramifications.

I flew over this four times this summer and it's incredible to see how close the river is to the flightline. Good video.

@lostbuffalo Look at this flood and see what you get when you give credence to the big yakking mouths of the semi literate and moderately educated. This is what you get when you listen to these morons and take something like the trucking industry where under the rules since the 1930's Truckers could spend time at work working and earning while never driving tired and getting all the sleep they wanted and now forcing them to drive 10 hours straight without a nap and putting them in the poorhouse.

@lostbuffalo The Army Corp of engineers isn't responsible for this flood and they have done an excellent job of containing it. It's the supreme court and the state department that is responsible, along with the activist organizations, the green pinkos.
Activists? If they were active, they would be at work. The worst thing for everyone is when people get involved in something beyond their qualifications knowledge or skills. Activists? It's more accurate to refer to them as "The Disruptively Idle"

@lostbuffalo This is all because PETA sued the Army Corp of Engineers claiming that they were releasing lake water in the winter not to prevent flooding but only to extend the barge season for evil corporations...
So the Court ordered the Corp to come up with a plan to maintain higher water levels in the reservoirs to provide upper Missouri marshland habitat for the sturgeon and the plover throughout the winter.
This is on PETA and activist courts not on the Corp which has done a fine job
