I wanted to make a fun video showing the competition between Anne and Jane this season. Unfortunately there wasn't a lot of direct interaction so I had to reuse a few clips for effect.

@Acharmye Yeah, definitely! I always liked that (probably apocryphal) story about Christina of Denmark, where she told Henry's messengers that "If I had two heads, one should be at the King of England's disposal." XD Sadly, most of the women Henry went after didn't have the power to refuse him that way. They were his subjects and he could have made their lives miserable. And poor, sheltered Anne of Cleves just didn't have any idea WHAT she was getting into.

@TheNuharoo Yeah Anne was definately in no position to complain about Jane. But Anne like Jane is a victim of being a pawn to her family's schemes. She wasn't bad inside. The day before her execution she requested Lady Kingston, wife of the Lieutenant of the Tower, to go to Mary and kneel before her and "beg her to pardon an unfortunate woman the many wrongs she has done her."

@Nacha255 Lolol! I agree! I agree even more, they were all just pawns in a game and they could've been better off. No wonder Catherine Parr panicked when she was chosen, lol.

@extinna that's an ignorant stereotype. You've obviously never been in the place of those simple & innocent people. It's not like they chose it, shyness is an affliction & it's hard being quiet. But it's not a bad virtue either, sometimes being calm helps, esp when you should keep your mouth shut, lol. Also Jane never screwed anyone over. Anne was unwise at the end & she was already doomed just like Katherine was once they failed to have sons. They're all victims, pawns to their families.

@Acharmye Yes, she totally was! I could go for Team Cleves too. Or Team Parr. Any of those would be good.

But frankly, at the end of the day I think pretty much ALL of Henry's wives deserved better than him.

@ReganIX Yet Elizabeth didn't have any children either and let the dynasty die. i agree Anne was probably best matched with Henry, tho that didn't stop him for pushing her aside for a son. Katherein's prophecy to Anne was true. Oddly enough Mary gave the same prophecy to Kitty later and she was executed too but you'd think she'd learn after seeing her cousin executed falsely for the crime Kitty goes on to commit!
