Lacey - Living on a prayer

If you have any questions, feel free to ask, but heres 2 answers to some I know I'm gonna get.

1. The mask/blinker type things is called a pacifer. The idea of it is that it means the horse can't see whats above them, and apparantly this makes it much more unlikely for them to rear. With Lacey, it was used to break up the cycle of her rearing, and she's slowly being/been weaned off them.

2. The rope being used in one of the first clips is known as a "whip whop rope" and its an alternative to a whip in the sense that it backs up the aids. He is not using it with ANY force or nastily, but she simply wouldn't move off the leg and he needed back up.

She's being trained with Monty Roberts techniques.

ah shes getting on so well must have felt amazing to ride her does she feel really different or not really you mkust trust her so much to get back on her were you scared ?? :S

I was bricking it, trust me. I'm generally a really confident rider but my confidence on her was in ruins...Its still hard and I'm worried I won't get my full confidence up, but heres to hoping :)

Your horse is absoloutely beautiful. I understand exactly how you feel...I have horses and i have one that means the world to me but she has bad anxiety issues and rearing issues. And about 2 months ago she threw me and i broke 3 brokens in my ankle and im still recovering. But im ready to ride her again. Even though she threw me doesnt mean im giving up on her because she is a very special horse..but she has a few problems. But it's not something that i believe isn't fixable. So dont give up :)

Horses are my absolute favorite animals. They are my life. I wish YouTube would let me change my username without deleting my account and changing to a new one. Because I want my username to be about horses. They are my love, my life, my horses. I wish I had one, and I still wish I would have chosen a different username. I feel extremely guilty about it but at least I have my love for horses in my heart. By the way, im not as old as you think after writing this. I feel very deeply about horses.

you and Lacey amaze me, your commitment and dedication are phenomenal, anyone else i think would have just written her off, and you have kept at it, and she is going to make the best horse this world has seen, and you should be so proud with what you have been and what you are going to achieve, i love seeing Lacey's updates and even more to see and hear she is getting better :D i honestly hope that everything works out you deserve it for all the money and time you have put into her

Im gunnna be honest :) You are one dedicated rider! I've watched nearly all of your videos on lacey and not only are you an amazing rider, but you have a fabulous and stunning mare as well :) You'll get there in the end. You're on the right track! :D :D x
