DVR Laser + Balloon

Nothing special really. Was amazed that a laser from cheap set top DVDR box was able to burn stuff at a little distance. The first balloon pop scares me a bit (x_x);;;;

Connected diode to two Eneloop (ooo~ fancy!) AA NiMH batteries and then to 5ohm ballast resistor to provide 'aiming power'. Then connect Li AA batter in series for burning power and pop pop. The laser diode is just glued into an old laser pointer's colluminating assembly and focused.
