This is the best song on this album, in my opinion. Its got lots of good bass parts in it, has a few dynamic changes, and offers a bit of room for improvisation. Great stuff, I say!
Forgive my garish appearance in this video. I had just woken up and had a case of bed-head to beat the band. I would have taken a shower and freshened up more, but I really hate getting my fingers wet before I have to play. Soft fingerpads blister easily.
Of course, for the faster middle part of the tune, I pull the Geezer Butler and switch to a pick. I just don't have enough finger strength to get that part done without it sounding mushy by the end. Nonetheless, the pick allows me to add some more complicated fills before the change-ups, so it is a trade-off. I'll never store my pick on my right hand again, though....I have to use my left tog rab the pick, and I cannot sustain a note while I transition. That's a bad thing. Next time I'm using double-tape.

Nice job man, I love playing Maiden songs on my bass as well. Love it when people improvise with the bass line :) Much room for that in most Maiden songs

It'll be much sooner than that, I promise you. I have not always practiced a lot....life sometimes gets in the way of playing. About 90% of my skill I learned in the first five years. The rest has just been paying attention to dynamics and writing my own basslines to tunes I love.
