From the valvetrain picture, Subaru has decreased the overall height of the engine by decreasing the angle between the valves and using a different cam profile-follower design. Maybe that makes it lighter and able to lower the engine position.
I wonder why they chose to have a higher stroke length and a lower bore size?
@10:00 what is the last row on the table describing? For the new engine is 1.07. What does that number mean.
It never does but here's hoping they use the 2.0L motor in the US.

The chart mean "long stroke engine is more economy".
