I disagree, it's not like they're meant to be role models to be emulated. They're laughed at because they are a stereotype. Actually, the Christians are the only normal folk in the video. Both the LARPer groups are silly, one because they're so inept, and the other because they're a bizarre combination of ACLU values and LARPing.

So I'm going to venture that you're right, it's not political, because no one's presented as being "in the right"... everyone's there to be laughed at as being silly.
