Ok, since dec.2010 I was secretly planning and building my attempt for Chrillsims3 under 50k competition and here is the result!
Building a cheap house was already on my plans and I was crazy to make an indoor garden with a big tree on it... It's pretty small but I'm satisfied.
The whole focus about this house was really the garden: The Sims 3 offers a lot of cheap and beautiful plants and terrain paints, so it was crucial to use those tools. The dark brown wood matches perfectly with the bambus (yay!) and the blue makes a nice contrast with the lake and with the rest of the garden.
The secret of the interior is: CHANGING ALL PATTERNS!!! You can use woods, metals and fabrics that actually look expensive and chic with no cost at all!
The garage makes the house look bigger and more expensive than it really is soooo it's in!
