I love this band, Mike Minor, Joel Ereneberg, Willie Shields, Ty Bowie, Eddie Franklin, Johnny Nance, etc. They have always been the MOST soulful and HIPPEST band out of Evanston, Illinois. I mean BAND. Not just cats who can really play, but a great GROUP. Willie, in particular, has such a special feeling.

Hey! That's my backdrop painting! It's still in my garage. I had fun painting that thing for John and EVANSTOCK. I laid out four very large dropcloths in an oid warehouse space and painted them on the floor. I had about 16 different cans of spray paint of various colors. Afterwards, my index finger on my right hand hurt for a month, after I got the nerve feelings back!
