  • Wow,I did not know that. Im not sure about how relevant this is however. I mean this clearly relates to the whole censorship element of the story that was edited but Im not sure that WHAT was edited was the point. That is to say ,that pin pointing right wing Christian fundementalist is just as bad as targeting Islam or Religious Zionist. Its all the same folly. Not the faiths, but the human tendancy to find a scapegoat when in fact its the human being. Its us blinding others in attempts to see.

  • There is an interesting post script in one of the more recent editions of this great book where Bradbury talks about this but also where he talks about minority and special interest groups trying to get him to change the book to not be so focused on white males. This of course is hysterical (and scary) given the Captain's explanation of how books came to be banned initially.
