These petty thieves arrive at around 12am to 1 am on a Monday morning, to rod\b and steal from 3 office lots within an entire building. The only office which wasnt hit was this office with the CCTV surveillance.

The thieves got in 10 minutes and out 10 minutes, thats how fast they were.

The suspicious thing about this was that the last Friday, there was a suspicious power outage together with the phone lines dead, twice around 2 am and returned after 10 minutes, and another time at 3 am, for another 10 ,minutes, the reason it was suspicious was due to the fact went I went down to investigate the issue, there were motorbikes revving their bikes back and forth of the entire shop lot row, as if to check if the whole block was out, and it was.. the only block out of electricity and phone line.. If any of the shop lots had security systems that dialed out to its owners. It would have been cut, and the backup battery supply to the alarm systems would probably wear out, this is highly speculation however, but if I were a thief, I would certainly have all my exit strategy and lower risk exposure covered.

Total losses were estimated up to MYR 50,000 worth of Computer Goods, Software, Petty Cash, and Valued items, No longer shall we place items of such value in our premises again a very sad lesson learnt to late.. and next time they come. We will be ready. Advice to all, prevention is the best method to avoid these incidents. Our local authorities can only do so much...

Your speculation sounds feasible . That's the problem with some cctv systems. If you cut the power & phone the recorder stops recording and the security can't dial out. The best method of course is to have a ups (uninterrupted power supply) with it also driving any night vision lights (infrared etc). Some thieves just go to the switchbox and turn it off.

yes we have all that now..UPS 15 hours.. and he power for more than 15 hours.. and that is when the battery functions on siren ringing.. otherwise we got back up bats for min 68 hours and, weak battery warning notification as well in case they did cut the power and if cut line fine.. .. got GPS.. its will call via cell networks..

unless they hit all cell networks too! or someone forgot to pay the bill ...lolz

Here's my advice to all who have been affected (since I know someone who is really traumatized) by this: Never be shaken & never fear for long. Remember our calm & stillness within. Accept that we have to experience evil to know good & know that life will go our way when our way is life itself. It's better to give than to receive. Nothing in this world can truly be lost because we don't own anything. We're all here on borrowed time.

These are the people who broke into my office building and robbed 3 office units including mine. The date in the CCTV footage is wrong and it should read 2009-JUL-13. Thanks to the owner of the top floor office unit for providing us with this unit taken by his CCTV system.

I lost the most: 8 of my biggest LCD sceens , my fastest computer (they knew exactly what they were doing), my expensive toy model collection (working in a game development company after? all) and cash in my drawer.
