my welches white grape juice says it contains sulfites to maintain flavor and freshness. Can i still use this to make wine?
-
@Planklike Yes you dont need an airlock.
Go ahead and try it, its nice.

@HaveANice2Day - It will be fine. No need to worry.
-
@MrRee324 - The gas that are released will for sure give off an odor in your closet. When I used grape juice that one was the strongest smelling.

@dumbtrooper - Your piece of bread is not going to work for you! That yeast that was in the bread is long been dead. Just go to your supermarket and go to the baking section. You will find BREAD YEAST. Just use 1/2 packet per Gal Jug.

@Roberticus12 It will still work but get the most out of it let it sit and ferment for at least 14 days. Cheers

Your videos are among some of the most helpful. I have tried your method with bakers yeast with some success however what would I need to do to increase the alcohol content a bit? Thanks Jake!

@soonerfan756 Add a little more sugar and/or find a wine making shop and pick up some wine yeast,If unable to just add more sugar like 1 more cup to the jug and let sit to ferment a few days longer. Cheers!

If you use a balloon then you poke holes in it. Also the wine should take at least 30 days or more for a good batch of wine. One wine brewer to another.

@slymgudy Sure,It doesn't hurt,I fermented for 14 days, then stored it in dark dry place for well more then a month before I sampled it for the first time,Cheers!
