They're carbon ceramic brakes, they don't work when cold... His foot didn't slip off pedal... the brake lights are lit up!

@thecadster after he got out of the car in the pit's i said "what happened" driver said "foot slipped off pedal".

P.S. who told you carbon ceramic brakes don't work cold?

@suggett48116 You can clearly see his brakes lights lit up all the way into the grass until he pulls it round and heads back on track. I would guess this is the first corner he took from the off, carbon ceramic brakes are exceptionally effective when hot but are known to be poor from cold.

I need to get out more don't I ;-)

@thecadster i was filming a different part of the track when i heard the black 430 struggle for traction so i turned around and caught this. his foot slipped off at the brake point a few seconds before the car is in sight.
